"The Mask"
In this work I wanted to convey the feeling of inner tension and a play between chaos and irony. The face seems composed of random strokes — a green "X" instead of an eye, a red spiral, a wide, almost grotesque smile. Everything seems a little childish and brutal, but there is something alive, spontaneous, sincere in this.
I like that the background seems faded and worn, like an old poster from which, over time, the layers of paint have been erased. For me, this work speaks of an emotion that does not hide, of vulnerability and of the attempt to preserve, in the midst of chaos, a little of the game.
