"Collage"
This collage is a story of journeys between two cities and a chapter of life. It is made from trolleybus tickets that I collected between 2016 and 2019 while studying at university. Each ticket represents part of my daily route: early mornings in Bender, transfers in Tiraspol, and the journey back home. Six tickets a day piled up in my wallet, turning into a sort of archive of everyday life.
When my studies ended, the tickets stayed in a box. It wasn’t until 2021, when I was preparing to move to Chișinău, that I came across them again and wondered what I could create from this fragile archive. The inspiration came unexpectedly: to assemble a collage in the shape of an old trolleybus—a symbol of all my travels. Along with my essentials, I brought A2 paper, glue, scissors, a utility blade, and the bag of tickets to Chișinău. Over three days, I pieced together this trolleybus from fragments of the past.
For a long time, the collage sat on a shelf until someone told me about this opportunity to submit my work for an exhibition.
This trolleybus of tickets is now more than just an image for me—it is a memory of routine, change, and growth.
