"Madona Desired"
The image of the Madonna is traditionally the embodiment of purity, holiness and ideal motherhood. But what if she were an ordinary woman - with sins, weaknesses, passion, pain, free nature? And her child is the only thing truly pure, holy and innocent.
Maria Gînga creates primarily digital illustrations, as well as short animations. She has participated in the Artist Program Digital Poetry, contributing short animated works in various collaborative teams. Passionate about storytelling and book illustration, she brings these influences into her artistic practice. Her work often explores themes of nature and self-love, expressed through a gentle, narrative visual language.
